A note: The line "Little bird in a cage" is not actually a translation of the line in question - the original is either "Kakome, kakome" (Circle, circle [around you]) or (probably) "Kagome, kagome" which are essentially nonsense words, sung in the children's song/game Kagome, Kagome. The (translated) rhyme goes something like:

Kagome, kagome, the bird in the cage,
When, oh when will you come out?
In the evening of the dawn,
the crane and turtle slipped.
Who is right behind you?

Two of the lines in the song - yoake no ban ni (In the evening of the dawn) and "Ushiro no shoumen daare?" (Who is right behind you?) - are direct lifts from the Kagome, Kagome song, so I figured I'd take a few liberties and replace the nonsense words with ones that fit in with the rest of the 'borrowed' lyrics.
